Tetris Forever gets its biggest update yet with new games, features and bug fixes
Tetris Forever has received its biggest update yet, fixing numerous issues and introducing new content that makes the game even more appealing to fans of classic games.
Here's What We Know
In November 2024, Digital Eclipse released the Tetris Forever collection, which includes classic versions of the game and the new Tetris Time Warp part. Although the game received generally positive reviews, players criticised the presence of bugs and the lack of some features. Now, several months after its release, the developers have fixed these shortcomings and added new content.
The update includes two new classic MS-DOS games: Super Tetris and Tetris (AcademySoft) v. 3.12 and a number of other changes:
- Increased the maximum level in the single player game Tetris Time Warp
- "Shield" ability to prevent enemy attempts to use Time Warp in multiplayer games
- New 40-line speedrun mode to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the franchise
- Quality of life features to customise visuals, sounds, and gameplay
- Option to turn off Modern Gameplay in 1989 mode and play 18-player matches
