Garmin has released a new beta update for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro watches that fixes a number of bugs

Garmin has released an update for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro smartwatches that fixes the issue of external sensors such as heart rate monitors automatically connecting when activity starts.
Here's What We Know
This bug appeared in the previous stable System Software 20.16 update, which also included an expansion of ECG compatibility in Europe and the UK. The new fix, introduced in beta 20.21, is already available to half of public test participants. However, the ECG feature is temporarily disabled in this version. Garmin plans to release one more beta update before moving to the stable version.
In addition to fixing the sensor issue, the update includes fixes for other bugs such as crashes during prolonged activity, headphone pairing issues, and incorrect gradient data updates. Although the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro are no longer prioritised for development, the company continues to support them by ensuring the devices are stable.
The full list of changes in update 20.21 is as follows:
- Fixed clearing of BLE sensor names.
- Fixed a crash when headphones could not be paired.
- Fixed a bug that caused grades to not update.
- Fixed pairing with CT10.
- Fixed a possible crash when moving the position of the golf pin.
- Fixed a bug that caused sensors to not pair automatically.
- Fixed automatic heart rate broadcast toggle.
