Japanese publication reports that the production of popular Casio Manga CasiOak watches has been discontinued
The Casio Manga CasiOak GA-2100MNG, which became one of the most popular G-Shock models of 2024, has risen in price significantly after its production was discontinued.
Here's What We Know
Launched in May of that year, they quickly caught the attention of manga fans and collectors alike with their unique Japanese art-inspired design and popular CasiOak style.
The GA-2100MNG combines the classic G-Shock look with original manga elements such as black outlines, scratch-off shadows and comic book dialogue bubbles. Even on the back of the case, you can see "Don!" embossed, a Japanese onomatopoeic word familiar to manga fans.
It is known that Casio has not officially announced the discontinuation of this model, but according to sources citing information from Great G-Shock World, the watch has been discontinued. As a result, their price on the secondary market has more than doubled from the initial cost of ¥25,300 (about $170).
The GA-2100MNG-2AJR (blue) and GA-2100MNG-7AJR (white) models have become rare and are now hard to find in regular retail stores. Collectors and fans are actively looking for them on online auctions such as Yahoo! Auctions and Rakuten.
Those who want to buy these watches should hurry up, as prices may rise even further. In addition, from time to time, limited quantities appear in retail stores, so it is worth checking back periodically.
