Galaxy A36: powerful mid-range smartphone with 120Hz screen and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor

Samsung has officially unveiled a new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A36. Along with it, the company announced the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A56 models.
Here's What We Know
The Galaxy A36 has a slimmer design, brighter screen, new processor, improved selfie camera, six major updates to the Android operating system and faster charging.
The Galaxy A36 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. It has a built-in optical fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
Despite the bigger screen compared to the previous Galaxy A35 model, the new device is lighter (195 g) and thinner (7.4 mm). The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, and the phone has an IP67 rating, which ensures resistance to dust and water.

The Galaxy A36 is powered by the new energy-efficient Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, manufactured using 4nm technology. This chip has four Cortex-A78 cores (2.4 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 cores (1.8 GHz), which provides 8% better performance compared to the previous Exynos 1380.
The main camera consists of three modules: 50 MP with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 5 MP macro camera. The front camera has a new 12MP sensor, which is also used in the Galaxy S24 series. Video recording is available in 4K at 30 frames per second with support for 10-bit Super HDR.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Charging from 0 to 66% takes just 30 minutes, and a full charge takes 68 minutes.
The Galaxy A36 runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.0. Samsung promises six major OS and security updates over six years.
