Dune: Part Two won two Oscars for Best Visual Effects and Sound

Denis Villeneuve's film Dune: Part Two won two awards at the 97th Academy Awards, winning Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.
Here's What We Know
The visual effects team included Paul Lambert, Stephen James, Rhys Salcombe and Gerd Nefzer. Interestingly, Lambert and Nefzer had already won an Oscar for their work on the first part of Dune three years ago.
Gareth John, Richard King, Ron Bartlett and Doug Hemphill were responsible for the sound for the second part. Bartlett and Hemphill were also among the winners for the sound in the first part of the film, along with Mac Ruth, Mark Mangini and Theo Green.
Dune: Part Two was also nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Production Design and Best Film. However, in these nominations, it lost to The Brutalist.
The film continues the story of Paul Atrid (Timothée Chalamet), who seeks revenge on the Harkonnens for the death of his father. Thanks to its philosophical themes and amazing visual and sound effects, the film has won critical and audience acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 94% rating, which is higher than the first part.
