Samsung has reportedly started testing a new version of One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 for the Galaxy A55 smartphone. Informant @tarunvats33 stated that the beta version was discovered on the company's server, which confirms rumours of an expanded beta testing programme.

Here's What We Know

The beta has a build number of A556EXXU6ZYB6 and is for the international version of the device, which means it will be available in various countries. Samsung has also created a page on its forum for the One UI beta testing programme for the Galaxy A55. While the page doesn't explicitly mention One UI 7.0, the handset was released with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14, and the only beta software available for it at this time may be One UI 7.0.

Usually Samsung releases a new version of Android for its devices by the end of the year, but this time the company has delayed the rollout by almost two months. Samsung attributes the delay to significant improvements in the new software, which took more time to develop. Because of this delay, the company may skip the release of One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1 and go straight to One UI 8.0 based on Android 16.
