The authors of Split Fiction presented Friend Edition, which, in addition to the game, also has a real friend if you are lonely and have no one to play with
Hazelight Studios is preparing to release its new co-op game Split Fiction, which will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 6 March 2025. And before the release, the studio decided to warm up the interest of players with a humorous trailer.
Here's What We Know
Hazelight Studios jokingly announced the "Friend Edition" - a fake version of the game that supposedly includes a copy of Split Fiction, an additional controller, and a real friend to play with. In fact, it was a creative way to announce the availability of a Discord server where players can find a partner to play with.
In addition, the game will have a Friend Pass feature that allows two people to play together on the same copy of the game, even on different platforms. This is the first time Hazelight is introducing cross-platform support for its project.
Split Fiction is an action adventure where two players take on the roles of writers Mio and Zoe. In the story, they find themselves trapped in their own stories because of a machine that steals creative ideas. Players will have to cooperate to get out of the fantasy world, overcoming challenges and dangers.
The game offers unique mechanics for each level: from controlling dragons to using a laser sword. Each character has its own abilities, so players must work together to move forward.
