Samsung Galaxy Flip 7 may get an even more capacious battery than its predecessor
Samsung is gearing up to launch a new foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Flip 7, which will reportedly feature higher capacity batteries compared to the previous Galaxy Flip 6 model.
Here's What We Know
Samsung used dual batteries in previous generations, and the Galaxy Flip 7 will have both batteries larger than last year's models. It is reported that the larger battery will have a capacity of 2985 mAh and the smaller battery will have a capacity of 1189 mAh, totalling 4174 mAh.
In comparison, the Galaxy Flip 6 had a total nominal battery capacity of 3,887 mAh labelled as 4,000 mAh. Thus, the Galaxy Flip 7 is likely to be sold with a claimed battery capacity of 4,300 mAh.
The increased battery capacity is a welcome improvement, but the Galaxy Flip 7 will still fall behind rivals such as the Xiaomi Mix Flip, which features a 4,780 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Flip 7 is expected to be launched this summer and will offer improved performance in addition to better battery life, which can be provided by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
