Chris Proctor, a former senior designer at Bungie known for creating iconic weapons for Destiny 2, has officially joined Guerrilla Games as Design Director. His new role was confirmed by an update to his LinkedIn profile on 3 March 2025.

Here's What We Know

Proctor has worked at Bungie for over five years, where he was responsible for creating weapons that have become player favourites, including Dead Man's Tale, Cloudstrike, Forerunner, and Osteo Striga. Prior to Bungie, he worked at Halo Studios, where he contributed to the development of Halo Infinite and Halo 5: Guardians.

Guerrilla Games is currently working on several projects, including a multiplayer game set in the Horizon universe known as Horizon Online. This game, which has not yet been officially announced, promises to be a large-scale online project.

Judging by the job description, Horizon Online will have a co-operative gameplay similar to Monster Hunter, where players will join teams to fight mechanical creatures. The studio is also actively looking for testers to prepare for the game's release.

It is not yet known whether Proctor will work on Horizon Online or another project of the studio, such as Horizon 3. However, his experience in creating weapons for Bungie could be key to the development of combat mechanics in future Guerrilla Games titles. Although it is likely that he will help with the online game.
