Shazam now automatically adds songs to Apple Music and Spotify playlists

Apple has released an update to the Shazam app that improves the syncing of songs found through Shazam to Apple Music and Spotify.
Here's What We Know
As of version 18.9, Shazam now automatically adds songs discovered using Music Recognition on iPhone and iPad to a special "My Shazam Tracks" playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. Previously, this playlist only included songs discovered through the Shazam app itself, and songs discovered through Control Centre were not synced.
The new update lets you add songs found through Siri, Shortcuts, and Control Center directly to your My Shazam Tracks playlist on Spotify and Apple Music.
How To Switch It On
In order to update all previously found songs, users will need to switch the "Sync your songs" option off and on again in Shazam settings. You may also need to restart Spotify to see the updated playlist.
Apple recommends enabling iCloud syncing to keep your Shazam history up to date across all your devices.
It is known that Spotify paid $10 billion to artists, producers, and music labels in 2024. Currently, more than 10,000 artists earn more than $100,000 a year on the platform. More information can be found on a dedicated page. Some artists earn huge amounts of money: 1,250 musicians have earned more than $1 million and 60 have earned more than $10 million in just one year thanks to Spotify.
