At MWC 2025, Meizu presented new smartphones of the Note 22 and mblu 22 series aimed at the budget segment. However, the company's unannounced flagship, Meizu 22 Pro, which was spotted near the brand's stand in Barcelona, attracted the most attention.

Here's What We Know

The device was presented alongside Meizu 21 Pro, which has a vertical camera unit. Instead, Meizu 22 Pro (the previous name) has a new design with an octagonal camera island, which gives it a more modern look. A comparison of the new device with the previous model shows significant changes in aesthetics, including the placement and shape of the cameras.

Meizu 21 Pro was announced at the end of February last year, so we can expect the first teasers of its successor in the coming weeks. The new Meizu 22 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, equipped with powerful cameras and new artificial intelligence capabilities.

Like the previous models, the new product is likely to be released in China first, and time will tell whether it will be available on the global market.

The company has been absent from the market for some time, but is returning with new gadgets.

According to a Smart Pikachu insider, the series will include two models: one with a compact screen and the other with a large flat display.

Meizu is also expected to use high-quality OLED panels with a resolution of 1.5K for the standard model and 2K for the Pro version. Other innovations include ultrasonic fingerprint sensors and batteries with a capacity of more than 5500 mAh.
