Rumour: updated trilogy of cult shooter Gears of War will be released without multiplayer

There is almost no doubt that Microsoft and The Coalition studio are preparing a re-release of the original trilogy of cult shooters Gears of War.
Such a prospect pleases many gamers, as excellent shooters will be available on modern platforms, and even appear on PlayStation for the first time. But new information from insiders may upset Gears of War fans.
Here's What We Know
Reputable insider and Windows Central editor Jez Corden has reacted to rumours that the Gears of War Collection (unofficial title) will be released without multiplayer. He confirmed that he had also heard such information and added that the games will have co-operative playthrough, but PvP modes will be removed.
This decision looks extremely controversial and even illogical, because PvP in Gears of War has always been very popular and it's strange and risky to remove one of its best components from the game.
actually, i too have heard no multiplayer
