Activision has confirmed that the fourth part of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake will lose the free mode.

Here's What We Know

Unlike the original version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, where players could freely explore levels and find tasks at their own pace, the remake adapts all levels to the two-minute format familiar from the first three parts of the series. In this mode, each level will have a list of tasks to complete in a limited time.

Although players will still be able to skate in free mode, performing tricks, the tasks will be available only in a timed format.

As a reminder, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake was created from scratch by Iron Galaxy Studios in collaboration with Activision. It will include:

  • Original levels from both games with improved graphics.
  • New skaters and tricks.
  • An expanded soundtrack of classic and new songs.
  • Cross-platform multiplayer for up to eight players.
  • New career mode and New Game+.

The game will be available in three editions: standard ($50), Deluxe ($70) with additional bonuses, and Special Edition ($130), which includes a real Birdhouse skateboard.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is scheduled for release on 11 July 2025 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
