Apple has announced that King Charles III will release his own playlist on Apple Music next week.

Here's What We Know

The playlist, recorded at Buckingham Palace, titled The King's Music Room, will feature the King's favourite songs, including songs by artists from the Commonwealth of Nations, such as Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones.

The playlist will be available on Apple Music 1 at 6:00am UK time on Monday 10 March, Commonwealth Day. It will then be repeated on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits. Apple Music subscribers will be able to listen to the playlist at any time they wish.

During the festive holidays, King Charles III visited Apple's UK headquarters at Battersea Station with CEO Tim Cook.

In a personal address to the audience, King Charles III shared how music has helped shape important moments throughout his life. He said: "Music has the power to take us back in time, bring us joy and help us overcome difficult moments. It lifts the spirit and brings joy, especially when it unites us in celebration."

The programme not only reveals the King's musical tastes, but also provides an insight into his relationship with the artists whose songs have become an important part of his life.

The premiere of The King's Music Room will take place on 10 March, and listeners will be able to enjoy the programme on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits. Anyone can listen to the programme for free, or by subscribing to the service.
