Xiaomi 16 Pro may get a metal frame and a button similar to the Action Button in iPhone 16 Pro
Recently, it was reported that Xiaomi 16 Pro may be equipped with a 3D metal middle frame, and now a well-known insider at Digital Chat Station (DCS) has confirmed this fact and added some new details.
Here's What We Know
Xiaomi is planning to use a 3D metal frame to make the smartphone lighter but still maintain its durability. According to DCS, the material of the frame will affect the cooling efficiency. The frame can be made of aluminium or titanium.
The insider also noted that mass production of 3D-printed bezels may be cheaper than expected.
Xiaomi 16 Pro may get a customised button. According to the insider, it will have several possible functions: from a button for artificial intelligence to a game button with pressure sensitivity or a silent mode switch. This is similar to the Action Button in the iPhone 16 Pro, which allows users to customise the button to their needs.
The addition of this button may reduce the battery capacity by 100 mAh, but with a 7000 mAh battery, it shouldn't significantly affect the battery life.
Xiaomi 16 Pro is likely to be launched alongside the standard model in October.
