OnePlus 14 may get a flat display and a 7000mAh battery
OnePlus is preparing to launch its next flagship, and the OnePlus 14 is rumoured to feature a completely flat display.
Here's What We Know
The OnePlus 14 will have a flat display instead of the curved one in the OnePlus 13.
A well-known insider at Digital Chat Station claims that the new type of flat display, which will debut in the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, will become the standard for future flagship smartphones. The OnePlus 14 may feature such a screen along with LIPO technology, which will reduce the bezels around the display. It is expected to be an AMOLED matrix with a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of at least 120 Hz.
Another significant improvement will be in battery life. Sources say that the OnePlus 14 may have a battery capacity of up to 7000 mAh, which will be an upgrade from the 6000 mAh of its predecessor. With Oppo's new batteries, the device is likely to support 100W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The previous curved design is likely to remain in the less premium devices, including the Nord series. OnePlus 14 is expected to be officially announced in 2025.
As a reminder, OnePlus is postponing the release of the Watch 3 until April due to a typo with "Meda in China" on the case. Initially, the device was supposed to go on sale on 25 February, but the release was postponed due to a typo on the watch case. Earlier, OnePlus admitted that its new Watch 3 smartwatch has a known spelling error on the back.
