The director of Doom: The Dark Ages director spoke about the game's "analogue" of the Marauder from Eternal - the mini-boss Agadon Hunter
The director of Doom: The Dark Ages director, Hugo Martin, has spoken about a version of the Marauder called Agadon Hunter. In an interview with PCGamer, he explained that the Hunter will not be an exact copy of the Marauder from Doom: Eterna, but rather a mini-boss for the game.
Here's What We Know
Martin emphasised that Agadon Hunter has a lot in common with the Marauder, but differs from it in design. He noted that it will force players to focus on parrying, dodging, and weaving between projectiles, just like the Marauder did. The battle will be a "test" for the players, a test of everything they have learnt so far in the game.
He also discussed the difficulty of the Marauder in Doom: Eternal, saying that many players found it frustrating because they didn't fully understand how to approach the battle. Those who did understand it appreciated the challenge.
Where To Play
Doom: The Dark Ages will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.
When We Can Expect It
The game is scheduled for release on 15 May.
