The premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ garnered 7.5 million views in the first five days, becoming the biggest launch of the year on the platform. The series brings back the iconic Marvel hero in a new story that has already received positive reviews.
Here's What We Know
The series, which launched on 4 March 2025, exceeded expectations, ranking first in terms of views among all Disney+ series. For comparison, the drama Paradise garnered 7 million views in nine days, and another Marvel project, Agatha All Along, had 9.3 million views in its first week.
Daredevil: Born Again brings back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin). The cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Hanson, Jon Bernthal and Michael Gandolfini.
The series tells the story of Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer from New York who fights crime in the Hells Kitchen area at night.
Dario Scardapane is the showrunner of the series, and Kevin Feige and Luis D'Esposito are the executive producers. The series was directed by Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Justin Benson. The series consists of 18 episodes and is a spiritual sequel to the popular Netflix show Daredevil.
With such a start, the series has every chance of becoming one of the best Disney+ projects this year.
