Devil May Cry fans can get ready for the next stage of the franchise. Netflix will release an anime series based on the iconic Capcom video game series on 3 April 2025. The new trailer promises intense action, demonic enemies, and familiar characters.

Here's What We Know

The series will tell the story of Dante, a demon hunter who fights to save the Earth from the invasion of the demonic world. The trailer shows how Dante faces demon armies and even military equipment that his enemies use to fight him. In addition, the mysterious character White Rabbit appears, leading the demon invasion.

The trailer also shows intense action with Dante's sword and firearms, which emphasises his skills in fighting demons.

The plot of the series hints at the events before the first Devil May Cry game and also includes elements from the Devil May Cry 3: Code 1 manga.

The animation is created by Studio Mir, a studio that has worked on popular projects such as Castlevania and Harley Quinn. The executive producer is Adi Shankar. Alex Larsen (Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix) is the lead writer, and Dante's voice is provided by Johnny Yong Bosch, a Power Rangers veteran and former voice of Nero in the series.

The music is provided by Power Glove, a duo known for their synthwave style.

The first season will consist of eight episodes.
