Netflix plans to film a reimagining of King's novel Cujo about a terrible dog

Netflix is planning to create a new film based on the cult novel Cujo by Stephen King. The project will be produced by Roy Lee (It, Barbarian), and the search for screenwriters has already begun. This will be a modern adaptation of the classic story about a terrible dog, which was first filmed in 1983.
Here's What We Know
The novel Cujo, published in 1981, tells the story of a mother and her son who find themselves trapped in their car, defending themselves from a rabid St Bernard. The first film adaptation, directed by Lewis Teague, starred Dee Wallace.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, but grossed $21 million at the global box office on a budget of $6 million.
Netflix is planning to reimagine the story for a modern audience, but no director or cast has been announced yet. However, producer Roy Lee already has experience working on successful King adaptations such as It.
