Apple may start production of new HomePod after WWDC 2025

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that mass production of the new HomePod with a screen will start in the third quarter of 2025.
Here's What We Know
It will be a smart home centre with a square iPad-like screen that can be mounted on a base or attached to the wall. If Kuo's prediction comes true, production will start after the WWDC conference in June.
Previously, Kuo predicted that HomePod with a screen would go into production in the first quarter of 2025, but due to software development issues, the launch was delayed. In particular, we are talking about an improved version of Siri, which the company announced at WWDC 2024. Apple reported that the new Siri features would be released later than planned, and this probably contributed to the delay. It may also be related to the development of the new homeOS operating system for HomePod.
Three months ago, I predicted that mass production of the new display-equipped HomePod would slip from 1Q25 to 3Q25 (after WWDC) due to software development issues. Beyond Apple Intelligence, the issues also involve ensuring the HomePod's interface aligns with new OS updates ... https://t.co/wg4EazzTW3

In addition, the delay is due to the need to synchronise the device's interface with software updates, including iOS 19, which is expected this year.
The new HomePod is expected to have a 6 or 7-inch screen and an A18 chip. The new HomePod with a screen will allow users to control smart devices at home, make FaceTime calls, use intercom to communicate between rooms, and much more. In addition, it can be part of a security system equipped with an Apple camera.
It is not yet known whether this device will go on sale at the end of 2025 or whether it will be launched in 2026 due to delays.
