Google is preparing to release Android 16 Beta 3: what to expect from the new update?

Google has announced the Android 16 Beta 3 update, which will be available today, 13 March 2025.
Here's What We Know
The announcement was made via the official @AndroidDev account, where developers were reminded: "We're releasing Android 16 Beta 3 tomorrow! Check back here to make sure you don't miss the release."
This update doesn't promise as many changes as the previous one, Beta 2, but it does contain important improvements. One of the biggest innovations in Beta 2 was the ability to launch Google Wallet instead of the Pixel camera by double-clicking the power button. There's also an "Extra dim" setting to reduce the screen brightness and a new section in the settings to select the region and measurement system.

Android 16 Beta 3 has an important feature - platform stability. This means that this version will already include "final APIs and behaviours" and all key changes should be implemented in this preview version as the update cycle is nearing completion. This version of the Android operating system has all the key features and settings in their final form. All important features of Android 16 are already stable and will not be changed until the official release.
In April, Android 16 Beta 4 will be released, which will be the first candidate for the final version. The official release of Android 16 is expected in June.
The Circle to Search feature has recently received a transparent navigation bar for search results. In addition, Google has started to show the line "Are these results useful?" at the bottom of the page in full width.
