PlayStation is working on a service-based multiplayer game, but details about the project remain under wraps. A recently discovered job posting hints that the game will have elements of competition/esports, but its name has not yet been disclosed.

Here's What We Know

The job posting was noticed on Reddit, which attracted the attention of players who began to actively discuss the possibilities of the new project. All that is known is that the game will be cross-platform - available for PC and consoles and developed on the Unreal Engine.

Some rumours suggest that the new project may be connected to Jason Blundell, a former Call of Duty developer who joined the new PlayStation studio in Los Angeles. However, the job posting indicates that the work is remote, so this cannot be confirmed yet.

Given the recent failures of PlayStation's service game development, such as Concord, the question arises: should the company continue to invest resources in another project in this genre?
