Xbox is pleased with the way people have received Obsidian's new role-playing game Avowed

Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox are pleased with the new role-playing game Avowed, although measuring success in the Game Pass era has become more challenging. Game director Kerry P Patel shared her thoughts on this in a recent interview.
Here's What We Know
Patel noted that based on player feedback and the number of people playing Avowed, the team feels supported. However, because the game is available on Xbox Game Pass, it is difficult to accurately assess its success using traditional sales figures. "I can't give you a clear metric, but everyone I've spoken to, both at the studio level and at Xbox and Microsoft, is happy with the reception of our game," she said.
Although Microsoft, for example, closed down Tango Gameworks after the successful release of Hi-Fi Rush, which raises questions about what criteria are used to assess the success of studios.
Obsidian is yet to release The Outer Worlds 2 this year.
