Kevin Conroy, known for his voice of Batman, will posthumously voice a new character in the Devil May Cry anime series, which will be released on Netflix on 3 April 2025.

Here's What We Know

In Devil May Cry, Conroy will voice a character named VP Baines. His voice can be heard in the new trailer of the series. Showrunner Adi Shankar noted that all of Conroy's lines were recorded before his death, and no artificial intelligence was used to create his voice.

Conroy, who died in 2022 at the age of 66 after a battle with cancer, left a huge legacy in the world of animation and video games. His work in Batman: The Animated Series and games from Rocksteady and NetherRealm made him a cult figure among fans.

Actor Johnny Yong Bosch, who will voice Dante in the series, also expressed his respect for Conroy, calling him a "true legend". He stressed that their recording sessions took place several years ago.

The series will tell the story of Dante, a demon hunter who fights to save the Earth from the invasion of the demonic world. The trailer shows how Dante faces demon armies and even military equipment that his enemies use to fight him. In addition, the mysterious character White Rabbit appears, leading the demon invasion.
