How much Remedy will spend on the development of Control 2 and FBC: Firebreak: exact figures are known

The Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment has released its financial report for 2024, in which it disclosed the budgets for the development of its upcoming projects - Control 2 and FBC: Firebreak.

Here's What We Know

According to the report, the initial development budget for Control 2 is €50 million (about $54 million). Earlier it was announced that Annapurna Pictures would finance 50% of the game development budget. In addition, both companies plan to create original stories for films and television based on Remedy franchises.

As for FBC: Firebreak, the development budget is €30 million. This game will be a session-based multiplayer PvE project. After the release, it will be available on PC Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass, and PlayStation Plus. It is worth noting that the game is set in the Control universe.

As for the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, which are funded by Rockstar Games, the budget was not disclosed, but Remedy stated that it is "in line with Remedy's typical AAA game production. That is, somewhere around $30-50 million.
