The Control sequel has reached the full-fledged development stage, - Remedy confirmed

Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed that Control 2 has entered the full production phase. In its annual report, the studio noted that it had completed all stages of preliminary preparation, so now the game's development is in full swing.

Here's What We Know

According to Remedy, full production status means that several key stages have been completed, including initial design and concept testing. It is expected that this phase will last from 15 to 26 months, and the development team may increase to 200 people.

In addition to Control 2, Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes and FBC co-op action game are also in full production: Firebreak. The initial budget of Control 2 is about 50 million euros. Remedy is working with Annapurna Pictures, which is funding half of the development costs. In return, Annapurna received the film rights to the Control and Alan Wake games.

Although the studio has not yet revealed the details of Control 2's plot, the game was veiled in the DLC to Alan Wake 2 called The Lake House. In it, protagonist Kiran Estevez finds himself in locations from the first Control, including the Panopticon and the Oceanview Hotel.
