Ubisoft continues to look for ways out of the severe crisis that the company has fallen into after a series of failed releases and short-sighted management decisions.

It has long been known that the Guillemot family (Guillemot), which owns Ubisoft, is considering even the most radical options and one of them is the creation of a new company to diversify assets in order to increase their value.

Here's What We Know

Bloomberg sources said that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and his partners are seriously discussing the possibility of creating a new company and transferring the rights to key franchises, including Assassin's Creed, to it.

Following this move, the plan is to sell a minority stake to an outside investor to stabilise Ubisoft's financial climate.

The publisher has already contacted potential partners, including Chinese IT giant Tencent, as well as a number of investment funds. The contenders are due to make their preliminary bids in March.

Ubisoft management has not yet commented on the media information, but given the collapse of the company's share price and a sharp decline in revenues, such a step looks the only right.

Let us remind you that Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on the 20th of March, and Ubisoft's future fate depends on its success.
