Amazfit has released an update for the Active 2 smartwatch that allows you to store music directly on the device.

Here's What We Know

The 6.0.8.4 update includes stability improvements, bug fixes, and optimised animations for smoother performance. However, the more important new feature is the ability to download music to the watch via Bluetooth, allowing users to leave their smartphones at home while exercising.

How To Switch It On

In order to use the new feature, you need to install the update through the Zepp app, select the "Music" option in the profile menu and download MP3 files from a connected smartphone. Now users will be able to listen to music without having to take their phone with them while jogging or walking. This feature was already available in other Amazfit models, such as the T-Rex 3, but it is a new feature for the Active 2.

The update is 128.85 MB in size and can take up to 15 minutes to download. It has not yet been announced whether this is available to all users or is being rolled out in stages.

Users can check for the new version through the Zepp app in the System Updates section.

In February, Zepp Health released a global update for Amazfit Balance with DJI support and new workouts. It is known that the update includes several new features, including support for remote control of the DJI drone via Bluetooth. Sleep and wake algorithms, as well as step counting, have been improved.
