Watching a football match in a traffic jam: Audi has integrated DAZN into its multimedia system
Audi has decided to please sports fans - now in cars with four rings on the emblem you can watch live broadcasts of major competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, NFL and NBA matches, as well as handball and golf tournaments. And all this - directly on the screen of the multimedia system of the car.
Here's What We Know
The DAZN streaming service is now available in the new Audi A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron models via the Audi Application Store. Sports content can be viewed via the 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen display or the 10.9-inch passenger screen. To avoid distracting the driver, the broadcast is only available on the passenger screen while the car is in motion.
More than just DAZN
In addition to DAZN, the Audi Application Store offers other popular services such as Amazon Music, Audible, Booking.com, Spotify, Yelp and YouTube. The main advantage is that the apps work directly in the car's system, without the need for a smartphone connection. Only a myAudi account and an internet connection are required for access.
CARIAD, a software subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, is responsible for the development of the multimedia platform. Subsequently, DAZN will also appear in models of other brands of the concern.
Audi and sport
Audi has long co-operated with the sports world, supporting clubs and tournaments. For example, since 2002 the brand has been a partner of FC Bayern Munich, and the club's official app has been available in the Audi Application Store since last summer.
