Germany has allocated a new military aid package to Ukraine that includes missiles for IRIS-T, Gepard anti-aircraft systems, MRAP armoured vehicles and more

The German government has updated the list of military hardware, equipment and ammunition transferred to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Due to this, it became known about the allocation of a new aid package.

Here's What We Know

Germany will soon transfer critical weapons and equipment to Ukraine, including Gepard anti-aircraft systems, missiles for IRIS-T air defence systems, ammunition of different calibres, drones, combat vehicles and much more.

The full list looks like this:

  • 24 MRAP armoured vehicles;
  • ammunition for the Leopard 1 tank and the Marder infantry fighting vehicle;
  • 3 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns with spare parts and 10,000 rounds of ammunition;
  • rockets for IRIS-T SLM systems;
  • 5,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition and 2,000 rounds of 122 mm ammunition;
  • 8,000 rounds of 120 mm mortar ammunition;
  • 50 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
  • 30 Gereon RCS tracked drones;
  • 30 drone detection systems;
  • 2 Wisent 1 engineering vehicles with spare parts;
  • 100 H-PEMBS portable mine clearance systems;
  • 2 mine trawls;
  • 95 MK 556 assault rifles;
  • 1,340 HK 416 assault rifles;
  • 556 laser rangefinders;
  • 255 infrared binoculars;
  • 765,000 first aid kits;
  • 2 border transport vehicles.

In addition to supplying equipment and weapons, Germany continues to train Ukrainian soldiers and officers and to provide humanitarian support to the civilian population.

The German government has emphasised that it is actively increasing military aid to Ukraine and in 2024 alone it amounted to €7.1.
