Two and a half years before the release of Split Fiction, Josef Fares - the author of the extraordinary co-operative games A Way Out and It Takes Two - was not shy and said that his new game would surprise gamers and blow their minds. I still think to myself, this is a f***ing goodgame, and he was absolutely right.

Split Fiction was released at the beginning of March and he confirmed that Fares is true to his word and the game is indeed receiving a huge amount of rave reviews (98% on Steam).

The eccentric game designer took part in the Friends Per Second podcast, in which he said that he doesn't sit idle.

Here's What We Know

It turns out that Fares and his team at Hazelight Studios have been working on a new game for over a month now, which he says "will be even better than Split Fiction". Moreover, the game designer is already excited about what they're getting.

Fares strives to constantly surprise the audience with new ideas, impressions and concepts and is convinced that no matter how high Split Fiction scores, his next game will surpass it.

Well, there is no doubt that Fares will find something to amaze gamers.

Recall, Hazelight Studios became famous in 2018 with the release of A Way Out, which won a BAFTA award, but the real success awaited the studio in 2021, when the masterpiece game It Takes Two was released, which won a huge number of prestigious awards, including the title of "Game of the Year" according to various awards.
