Nubia has announced a new version of the RedMagic Magnetic Cooler 6 Pro, which promises to reduce the temperature of gaming smartphones to -16 °C.

Here's What We Know

This is an improvement over the previous model, which reached -12 °C. However, such performance is only possible at low ambient temperatures and under light load. In real-world conditions, the device provides heat dissipation of up to 30 W and can reduce the temperature of a smartphone by up to 41 °C.

The fan uses a 3.4 mm thick Peltier thermoelectric module combined with a graphene and aluminium heat sink. A silicone coating is provided to protect the smartphone from scratches. Owners of RedMagic smartphones can attach the cooler thanks to the built-in magnets, while other Android devices and iPhones are provided with sliding mounts.

The fan speed and lighting can be adjusted via the mobile app. Nubia claims that the noise level of the cooler does not exceed 35 dB during normal use. The cooler has a USB-C port for connectivity and supports wireless smartphone charging.

Price and availability

RedMagic Magnetic Cooler 6 Pro will be available in China first. The rectangular version costs approximately $34, and the square version costs $37. Previous models are already available on Amazon US.

In January, Nubia introduced the RedMagic X Golden Saga: A limited edition with gold cooling and a carbon fibre body. The smartphone also has a triple camera.
