Xiaomi, known primarily for its smartphones, has achieved significant success in the automotive industry, delivering 200,000 SU7 electric cars in less than a year.

Here's What We Know

The first 100,000 cars were delivered in 229 days and the next 100,000 in just 119 days. This result emphasises the strong demand for the model, despite sales being limited to the Chinese domestic market.

The anniversary car was handed over to a young couple who chose a special red colour to mark the company's 15th anniversary. The SU7 is available in several versions, including standard, Pro and Max, with prices ranging from $29,840 to $41,422 dollars. A premium SU7 Ultra version is also available, with prices starting at $73,190 dollars.

Xiaomi ended 2024 with more than 135,000 deliveries and plans to increase volumes to 350,000 vehicles in 2025. Currently, order wait times exceed 30 weeks, but the company is aiming to expand production and go international by 2027. The success of SU7 demonstrates Xiaomi's great potential in the automotive industry.
