China has unveiled the low-cost Oppo A5 and A5 Energy Edition smartphones, which have larger batteries and IP69 protection

Oppo has officially announced two new low-cost smartphones in China - A5 and A5 Energy Edition.

Here's What We Know

Oppo A5 is equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and refresh rate up to 120Hz. The front panel houses an 8MP camera and there is a fingerprint scanner below the screen. The rear panel includes a 50MP main lens and a 2MP portrait module, along with a beautifier and LED flash. The device has a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging support, IP69 certification and 360-degree NFC. The smartphone runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15 and is available in three colours, Zircon Black, Crystal Diamond and Blue.

The A5 Energy Edition features a Dimensity 6300 chipset, a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 5800 mAh battery. The cameras are similar to the base version. The device is also IP69 certified and supports NFC. Available colours include Amber Black, Jade Green and Agate Powder. Both smartphones offer a wide range of memory configurations and are already available in China.
