EA Sports confident of renewing exclusive NFL licence for Madden series
Insider Gaming reports that Electronic Arts is confident of extending its exclusive licensing agreement with the National Football League (NFL) for the Madden NFL video game series. The current agreement, which has been in place for more than 20 years, expires after the 2026 season.
Here's What We Know
According to sources, EA is already planning the development of new features for future versions of Madden NFL for the next two to four years. This shows the company's confidence in continuing the partnership with the NFL.
Sources also consider it unlikely that EA will lose its exclusive contract. Unless the NFL receives an attractive offer from other companies.
Currently, there are no official statements regarding the signing of a new agreement between EA and the NFL. However, given the success of the sports simulator, it is very likely that the contract will be re-signed.
