World Car Awards 2025: finalists announced

The World Car of the Year is getting closer to the winner - the World Car Awards 2025 jury has named the finalists in six categories. The last stage of voting will end on 16 April, and the winners will be announced at the opening of the "New York International Auto Show".
Here's What We Know
Voting was conducted by 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries. Counting of results was traditionally carried out by KPMG specialists. Finalists were chosen by secret ballot, evaluating cars in real operating conditions.
So, here are the top three candidates for victory in each category:
World Car of the Year
- BMW X3
- Hyundai Inster/Casper Electric
- Kia EV3
Electric Car of the Year
- Hyundai Inster / Casper Electric
- Kia EV3
- Porsche Macan Electric
Luxury Car of the Year
- Porsche Macan
- Porsche Panamera
- Volvo EX90
