Snail Games USA has presented a trailer for the new ARK: Aquatica for the game ARK: Survival Ascended. However, instead of being a delight, the video caused a wave of criticism due to the use of generative artificial intelligence to create it.

Here's What We Know

Lasting one minute, the trailer consists almost entirely of scenes generated by artificial intelligence, except for a few seconds of gameplay at the beginning. The video shows characters exploring the underwater world using harpoons, but the quality of these scenes is questionable. Many viewers noted that the animations look unnatural, and the trailer itself does not reveal the essence of the expansion.

Fans of the game reacted negatively to the trailer, expressing their dissatisfaction in the comments. Most of them criticise the use of artificial intelligence to create official content, considering it a sign of low quality and lack of attention to detail.

Even Studio Wildcard, which develops Ark games, disowned the add-on and asked all inquiries to be sent to the DLC authors from Snail Games USA, as Wildcard is busy with ARK: Survival Ascended ARK 2.
