Users of Philips Hue smart home products can update their app to version 5.38.0, available for iOS and Android.

Here's What We Know

This update adds a new QR code scanning feature that makes setting up devices much easier. Users can now quickly add new devices to the room by scanning the QR codes that come with them.

The 5.38.0 update brings several useful features for users who have multiple Hue Bridges. You can now change the order of your Hue Bridge devices on the app's home page. This can be done through the settings in the "Bridges" section by simply dragging and dropping them into the desired order. To do this, you need to activate the option that allows you to use the names of the Hue Bridge as titles.

A convenient way to view all connected devices has also been added. In the Settings, Devices section, you can now see all your devices and add new ones by clicking the "+" icon.

This update is the second in March after version 5.37.1, which brought a new video recording tool and improved management for users with multiple Hue Bridges. Also worth noting is the addition of automatic all-day scene grouping when you add scenes to a Hue Bridge from the scene gallery.

The update is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. In addition, Philips Hue has also recently launched Datura smart ceiling panels in the US.
