The EU plans to supply Ukraine with at least 2 million munitions a year
The European Union intends to supply Ukraine with at least 2 million rounds of ammunition annually as part of its military assistance. This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, during the presentation of the White Paper on European Defence in Brussels.
Here's What We Know
The document defines a new approach to EU defence, outlines investment needs and provides for a significant increase in assistance to Ukraine. In addition to ammunition, it is planned to supply air defence equipment, drones, as well as training and equipment for Ukrainian brigades.
According to Kallas, the EU should not only support Ukraine, but also involve it in the development of European defence.
"We have learnt a lot from Ukraine's experience on the battlefield. We should be able to build defence systems for Ukraine, but also with Ukraine," she stressed.

"The White Paper also envisages direct support for Ukraine's defence industry and increased access to European space services. To implement these plans, the European Commission has proposed a €150 billion SAFE loan facility to help provide long-term support.
Kallas stressed that Ukraine must be armed to prevent future attacks, and that a strategic long-term plan is needed to do so.
