Apple's C1 modem beats Qualcomm's Snapdragon modem in key speed tests

Apple unveiled its C1 modem in the new iPhone 16e, which showed superiority over Qualcomm's modem in most tests conducted by Ookla.
Here's What We Know
The modem took several years to develop, and the results show that Apple has made significant progress. The tests show that compared to the Qualcomm modem in the iPhone 16, the C1 modem performed better in the low download speed range, providing a more stable connection quality. At the medium level, the performance of both modems was similar, but Apple's modem still managed to come out ahead. However, in the high download speed range, the Qualcomm modem was the leader.

Ookla tests conducted with major US carriers such as ATT, Verizon and T-Mobile confirmed that the C1 modem delivered faster download speeds, especially with ATT and Verizon, where the performance was almost double that of the iPhone 16. Although the C1 modem is Apple's first step in this area, its power efficiency and stability make it a promising solution for future devices.
