Huawei is probably preparing to release a high-end computer in 2025 that could compete with Apple's Macs.

Here's What We Know

According to recent leaks from insider Digital Chat Station, the new device will be powered by a proprietary ARM chipset, likely from the Kirin series, and could be Huawei's answer to the Mac Mini or other similar desktops.

The computer is expected to be a premium product with high performance and run on HarmonyOS, the same operating system used in Huawei's mobile devices and gadgets.

Previously, Huawei PCs, including the Intel Core i9-12900H model, had fewer options, but the new computer will demonstrate the company's improved hardware development capabilities. The new "X90" chipset, which is likely to compete with Apple's M3, will be optimised for computers, not just mobile devices.

The design of the new device has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be premium with an elegant look. The presentation is scheduled for May 2025, probably along with other new products, such as Pocket 3, which will be released before the announcement of the new Pura 80 smartphones.

As a reminder, Huawei has introduced an unusual folding smartphone Pura X with an aspect ratio of 16:10, a powerful processor and extensive AI capabilities. Huawei Pura X is already available for pre-order in China, but the timing of the smartphone's release on the global market has not yet been announced.
