Silent Hill 4: The Room on GOG receives update with restoration of lost content

The GOG platform has released an update for Silent Hill 4: The Room that restores missing content from the original console version and improves compatibility with modern systems.
Here's What We Know
The original version of Silent Hill 4 for PC, released in 2004, had some differences from the console version, including the absence of seven paranormal phenomena in the protagonist's apartment. These elements were present in the game code but were not activated. GOG's update now restores these phenomena, including a wall of dolls, a bloody faucet, and the shadow of a crying child.
In addition to restoring the content, the update improves the game's stability, resolves issues with Alt+Tab switching between apps, and adds support for modern controllers such as DualSense.
