People Can Fly surprised by genre change: Bulletstorm and Painkiller authors announced PvPvE-shooter Lost Rift

People Can Fly - the author of the famous shooters Bulletstorm, Painkiller, Gears of War: Judgment and Outriders - announced its new game, and it may surprise fans of the Polish studio's creativity.
Here's What We Know
The game is called Lost Rift and is a PvPvE shooter with elements of survival, construction and with a large open world.
A player or a group of players gets to a spacious island of one of the archipelagos and faces aggressive fauna, and there are even dinosaur-like creatures, and tries to survive in extreme conditions. Players need to gather resources, build temporary camps, create gear, search for weapons and survive in dangerous weather conditions, and at some point they will inevitably have to face other players.
Lost Rift is completely unlike other People Can Fly projects, but it's hard to say yet whether that's a good or bad thing.
When We Can Expect It
Lost Rift will be released "soon" in Early Access on PC. The Steam page is already open.
