Four classic SNES strategy games from Koei will be joining Nintendo Switch Online next week, on 28 March 2025. This will bring the total number of SNES games on the platform to 73 in Western countries.

Here's What We Know

New games include: Nobunaga's Ambition, Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 4: Wall of Fire, and Uncharted Waters: New Horizons:

  • Nobunaga's Ambition is a port of a 1986 game set in the Sengoku period in Japan, where players control Oda Nobunaga or another daimyo in an attempt to unite the country through the seizure of feudal domains.
  • Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness offers similar gameplay, but with two major scenarios: one in 1555, when Nobunaga is a small daimyo, and one in 1571, when he faces opposition from other daimyo.
  • Romance of the Three Kingdoms 4: Wall of Fire is based on a classic Chinese novel and offers six scenarios, with a choice of 450 officers.
  • Finally, Uncharted Waters: New Horizons presents six different adventures at sea with unique characters.

Along with the new games, Super Soccer will be removed from the service, marking the first time a game has been removed from the SNES library.
