Assassin's Creed Shadows already has more than two million players: launch figures surpass Origins and Odyssey

Ubisoft continues to share the success of Assassin's Creed Shadows. We have already reported that in the first day after the release 1 million players in the first 24 hours: Ubisoft has shared the first major success of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Now the French publisher informed about another achievement.

Here's What We Know

The developer reported that 2 million players have already immersed in the world of virtual feudal Japan! Ubisoft emphasises that this result of Assassin's Creed Shadows surpasses other successful parts of the series - Origins (2017) and Odyssey (2018). The game now only has to surpass Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which sold around 8 million copies in its first month, making it the most successful instalment of the series.

As a reminder, there was earlier insider information that Ubisoft plans to sell 3.5 million copies of Shadows in the first month, and it looks like that's only quite realistic.

Ubisoft also reminded and about the high marks Assassin's Creed Shadows set by critics, some of them even rated the game with 10 out of 10 points.

Assassinʼs Creed Shadows is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Mac, and has been adapted for the Steam Deck handheld console and has an enhanced version for the PS5 Pro.
