During the latest Minecraft Live event, Mojang presented several important updates that will soon be coming to the popular construction game.

Here's What We Know

One of the most anticipated additions was the "Vibrant Visuals" update, which aims to improve the game's aesthetics while maintaining the core design that has made it an icon over the past 15 years. This visual update will include improvements to directional lighting, volumetric fog and reflections, as well as better water clarity and cloud depth.

In addition, the game will soon feature Happy Gastes, an adorable version of the creepy creatures from Hell. They won't be easy to get, but once you capture one, you can use it to fly around the world.

Mojang also announced that updates will be released more frequently under the name "Game Drops", and the first of them - Spring to Life - will be released on 25 March 2025. This update will add seasonal mob variants and new atmospheric elements such as shimmering firefly bushes and falling leaves.
