Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will get a new Mortis Trials mode with roguelite elements

The developers from Fatshark have announced a new mode for the co-op shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide called Mortis Trials, which will add roguelite and wave defence elements to the game.
Here's What We Know
Mortis Trials will be available for players who have reached the 13th level of trust. In this mode, teams will fight against 12 waves of enemies with a gradual increase in difficulty. Every third wave will include special tasks that will provide players with additional resources and buffs.
A special feature of Mortis Trials is the system of indulgences - specialisations that players choose in addition to their classes. Among them:
- Pyrokinetic: enhances fire attacks
- Voltaic: increases electrical damage
- Fulminator: focuses on explosive attacks
- Death Dealer: improves melee combat
- Colossus: increases character survival
The mode will also expand the game's lore, revealing details about the character Sephoni, a psionic player who players meet at the beginning of the game. Her visions and past will become key elements of Mortis Trials.
Mortis Trials will be available from 25 March on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
