Amazon already sells new Hyundai cars in 68 markets, including the US. However, the company is not going to limit itself to just new cars and is working on launching sales of used cars.

Here's What We Know

According to Fan Jin, director of Amazon Autos, the company is actively expanding its cooperation with dealers and is preparing to include not only new cars but also used cars in its offer. He told Automotive News.

Moreover, it's not just about sales - Amazon wants to create a full-fledged online car dealership. The company focuses on working with dealers, for whom the basis of income is often additional services, including car service after the sale. Therefore, Amazon Autos is moving the entire dealership experience online.

Astute Analytica forecasts that the global online car buying market will reach $885.1 billion by 2032, up from $304.7 billion in 2023 at a compound annual growth rate of 12.58%. It's impossible for a company like Amazon to ignore such a segment, especially since it has all the tools to do so.
