In early January, authoritative insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that Insider: 2025 Apple Watch SE 3 will go on sale in 2025 with a state-of-the-art processor and a colourful case late 2025, which will be similar to the iPhone 5c of a decade ago.

Now Gurman has shared more up-to-date information.

Here's What We Know

In a new edition of Power On's weekly news digest, Mark Gurman revealed that Apple has decided to stop releasing smartwatches in a plastic case.

He explained that the design team does not like the way the gadget looks, which means that customers will not be happy with it.

In addition, the financial side also played a role: the company found out that replacing the aluminium case with a plastic one would only lead to a slight reduction in the price of the watch, and therefore there is no point in resorting to such a solution.
